Build a library of original value
Monetization readiness starts with content that clearly contributes something: your explanation, experience, reporting, demonstration, commentary or creative work. Repackaging material from elsewhere with minimal change can create rights and quality problems. Keep source notes and project files so you can explain how your work is made.
Respect rights and disclosures
Use footage, music, images and brand assets only when you have permission or a valid license. Credit does not automatically create permission. Disclose sponsorships and affiliate relationships clearly. When AI helps with a script or image, review the result for accuracy, originality and possible third-party material before publishing.
Prepare the viewer experience
Complete your About page, contact method, channel branding and playlists. Fix broken links, misleading titles and copied descriptions. Read the current YouTube Partner Program requirements directly before applying because eligibility rules can change. A high content count cannot replace a trustworthy, useful library.
